The overall build don’t feel as high end as you might expect, and the comfort is just average rather than impressive. While the design is attractive, the details could definitely be better. Some of the finishing and small touches make the boots feel a bit less refined than what you’d expect in this price range. They’re not bad boots, but they don’t quite deliver the level of quality that the cost suggests. For the money, I’d probably recommend looking at brands like Lucchese, Tecovas or Tony Lama instead. Those tend to offer stronger craftsmanship, better comfort, and more consistent quality for a similar price."
"This was my first pair of "real boots" and Rujo nailed it. They came with some creasing but I just chalked that up to characteristics of goat skin, I bought them to wear and these are the most comfortable footwear I've ever put on, will definitely be getting another pair of Tates in Peanut and some Gavin's when they get my size in stock! I was worried about sizing but I just pulled the trigger on my usual size and they fit better than a glove. I love these boots"

"Their mistake, my benefit! These “mis-colored” Peanut Tates not only look great, mistaken color or not, they are super comfortable and totally come in “under the radar” as far as presentation goes! They look and feel heavy duty capable, look great whether dressed up or dressed down. These are a can’t miss boot!"
